Child Therapy

Psychodynamic play therapy in Hollywood for emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns.

Therapy can help your child express their feelings, navigate developmental milestones, and work through problems that might still be hard to put into words. Through a psychodynamic approach, play therapy goes beyond behavioral modification to address the underlying dynamics shaping their inner life.

Sessions often incorporate imaginative free play, structured games, drawing, storytelling, and conversation to help children communicate symbolically and emotionally. Parents are included thoughtfully, with regular consultation to support the child’s growth both in and outside of therapy.

I specialize in a variety of presenting concerns for children 3-years-old and up including:

  • Anxiety and Excessive Fear

  • Emotion Regulation and Tantrums

  • Social Withdrawal

  • Behavioral Challenges

  • Trauma and Adjustment

  • Identity Development and Self Esteem

  • Grief and Loss

  • School Difficulties

  • Family Changes (Divorce, Relocation, Illness, etc.)

  • Aggression (Biting, Hitting, Bullying, etc.)

Although I do not provide standardized psychometric assessments, I have experience working with childhood neurodivergence and learning disabilities in schools and clinical settings.

I have particular experience in working with children with a history of social dislocation, recent traumatic experiences, and those who do not seem to always fit in.
